Accident Replacement Vehicles and Courtesy Cars

We will assess your vehicle immediately after an accident with a view to determining whether it is safe to be on the road. If your vehicle is deemed unroadworthy (ie. The damage caused would leave the vehicle in a state that would fail the MOT). If wheels are damaged, suspension damaged or if the impact of the collision has broken lights or left the vehicle with sharp edges) we will supply a replacement vehicle right away.

You will have the benefit of the replacement vehicle until we have finished the repairs to your own vehicle. In circumstances where your vehicle is deemed a total loss or “write off”, you will be able to drive the replacement vehicle for 7 days after you receive a cheque for the pre-accident value of your own vehicle from the at fault motorist’s insurance company. This will give you some time to find a replacement vehicle.

Once you return the vehicle, your Solicitor will seek reimbursement of the cost of providing you with the replacement from the at fault driver’s insurance company.

If you were driving a commercial vehicle when the accident occurred we will be able to provide you with a replacement commercial vehicle. If you were driving an automatic we can of course provide you with a replacement automatic vehicle from our extensive fleet.
